Microscope
The standard product is based upon the Zeiss Stemi 2000 Stereoscopic Microscope. This can be provided in either binocular or trinocular form for use with a video or photographic camera. Alternatives can be provided as specified by the customer, subject to compatibility and an additional tooling cost.
Viewing Magnification: x6.5 to x50 Zoom Co-ordinate readout resolution: 1micron Working distance [Z] 65 mm Measuring range: 110 mm [X, Y], 180 mm [Z] Light spot diameter: 2.5, 5,10 or 20microns, selectable Absolute accuracy across
measuring range [note 1]:better than ±3microns in X & Y,
better than ±4microns in ZRepeatability [note 2]: better than ±2microns in X, Y
and ±6microns in ZNote 1. Calibrated measurement accuracy between two points, using the highest magnification and the smallest light spot, in a laboratory environment, but excluding repeatability errors.
Note 2. Standard deviation in a series of measurements to a well-defined object point using the highest magnification and the smallest light spot in a laboratory environmentComputer and software
Detailed specifications of the computer incorporated in the system can be supplied upon request. The software is a specially modified version of the Axel Metrology System
Calibration
The installation procedure includes a calibration routine using a special artefact to provide correction factors to eliminate orthogonality errors.
